A coastal village in South-Western Istria, 6 km SE of Pula, on a small peninsula between the coves of Solin and Paltan.

Once a small fishing town, Banjole has a naturally protected harbour along the well-indented coast covered by pine forests, with numerous bays, peninsulas and natural beaches.

The beaches are partly rocky and partly gravel, and since the pine woods extend to the sea, it is easy to find shady places in the summer heat.

The Mediterranean climate, coves, peninsulas and natural beaches,
water sports, sports and and recreational facilities make Banjole a very pleasant place to stay in all seasons: tourism is rapidly increasing.

Banjole lies nearby the regional road Pula-Pomer-Medulin-Liznjan so it
can easily be reached by car from Trieste and Pula has its own airport.

It is
a perfect place for enjoying the sea and fishing, with a famous diving centre and a yachting club which makes it also an excellent destination for sailing and navigation enthusiasts.

Banjole is indeed
a perfect choice for everyone: fun and leisure!
Younger people who are
looking for fun can have a good time in Medulin and Pula.
Who would rather enjoy a
truly relaxing and peaceful vacation will not find here any traffic jams or larger and noisy hotel complexes: in this generous and untouched nature most of the houses are not far away from the sea.
And for everybody, all ages,
a lot of sport activities.

The nearby town of
Pula preserves an almost intact Roman amphitheatre, in fact the sixth largest in the world and certainly one of the most beautiful.

Istrian history goes back 3.000 years and many have been ruling this land: the Illyrian-Venetian Histri, the ancient Romans, the Goths, the Lombards, the Holy Roman Empire, the Republic of Venice, Napoleon's Empire, the Austrian Empire, the Italian Kingdom of Mussolini, Hitler's Germany and Tito's Yugoslavia...

After the break-up of the Yugoslavian Federation in 1991
Istria lies now in three countries: Croatia, Slovenia and Italy.
